What a fab weekend I have just had – I was invited to have dinner with some friends on Saturday night, the lovely Claire Evans was the hostess.  Her recipes are often featured in my newsletter cooked and so it was tastebud heaven to go and have dinner created by her.  The menu consisted of lobster and prawns in a garlic sauce to start, followed by a king prawn pad thai with chocolate mousse to finish, all washed down with lashings of red wine.  Super scrummy and the company was great too – lots and lots of laughs and it didn’t stop there, I went for Sunday lunch with some different friends the next day, had some wine with lunch that turned into a few more glasses of wine and we all ended up dancing around the house to my friends Country and Western CD singing at the top of our voices – hilarious!!

Christmas is now speeding towards us, so you know what that means – lots of Christmas parties and lots of girls panicking about looking good in their little black dresses – so I have created a 21 day Little Black Dress Club.  This will start on Monday, 5th November and will run for 21 days.  I will be giving you a complete detox nutrition plan to follow and you will have to attend at least 2 sessions at the studio per week, but I will be giving you homework sessions to do as well.  Everyone will have their weight and measurements taken at the beginning and then at the end so we can see exactly how many dress sizes they have dropped.  This program is perfect so that you start the festive season feeling and looking good.  If you would like to find out more or would like to book a place on the 21 Day Little Black Dress Club just click here.

The ladies on the Fat Loss Fortnight that is running are doing well at the moment, one lady has lost 5 lbs in 1 week which is phenomenal – looking forward to their end of the program results.

I had to postpone the start of the beginners pole dancing class which was due to start on Tuesday, so it will now start this coming Tuesday, 23rd October and I will run the special offer again until midnight Friday – so if you meant to book last time but forgot then hurry and book your Pole Dancing Lessons here.

Recipe of the Week

This weeks recipe is another of Claire Evans and is easy, yummy and filling.  She made for our lunch after training the other morning – super scrummy!

Spinach, Chick Pea and Lentil Soup.

Ingredients

1 tbls Groundnut oil
1 large red onion, chopped
2 cloves of crushed garlic
1 tsp ground cumin, tumeric and sweet paprika
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 x carton organic kidney beans (again, tesco)
100g red split lentil
1.25 litres organic veg or chicken stock
60ml lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped fresh mint
250g chopped spinach

Method

Heat the oil in a heavy pan and add the onion, garlic and spices making sure you do not burn them, cook till the onion is soft.

Stir in the peas, beans, lentil, stock, juice and mint. Simmer for 20 mins, until the lentils are tender.

Stir in the spinach, simmer for 5 mins.Serve with green veg, maybe basmati brown rice, sauteed pak choi would be good too.
